Newtownards' electric gate specialist
I'm Adrian, the Gate Guy, and I've spent 25 years installing, automating and repairing electric gates. I work from Conway Square in the middle of Newtownards, so whether you're in the town itself, out on the Ards Peninsula, along the North Down coast or around Strangford Lough, I'm not far away.
The business is AutoGate Northern Ireland. Call me and you'll speak to the person who'll do the work.

- Sliding electric gates – a good answer for short or sloping driveways.
- Automating existing gates – if your gates are sound, I can make them electric.

Gates for the coast and the country
The Ards Peninsula and Strangford Lough are beautiful places to live, but salt air and wind are hard on gates. I use galvanised and powder-coated steel or composite infill near the shore, and I fit DEA System automation for homes and businesses, and Fadini hydraulic automation for heavy gates and wide entrances.

I also repair Beninca, CAME, FAAC, BFT, Nice, SEA, Gibidi, Allmatic, V2, Key Automation and Chamberlain LiftMaster.

Questions people ask me
Do you cover the Ards Peninsula?
Yes – all of it, from Millisle and Ballywalter down to Portavogie, Cloughey and Portaferry.
Do you repair gates you didn't install?
Yes. I repair all the major brands, whoever fitted them.
I live near the shore. Will my gates rust?
Not if they're made right. Galvanised and powder-coated steel, or composite infill, stands up to salt air far better. See gate materials for durability.
Are your installations safe?
Yes. Every installation gets the right safety devices and is force tested to BS EN 12453, and you get a Declaration of Conformity and the manuals at handover.
